    I’m not sure how I operated before I discovered customized clothing for dialysis patients. They are really convenient, but they fit like “regular” clothes. This one just has the left arm free, which is ideal for me. The sleeve is easy to access and close when I don’t need my arm exposed. This makes it a bit more bearable to be undergoing dialysis.

    The sweatshirt is very good. Mom likes it but likes the Hoodie with the zip up front and zipper in the sleeve more…and that is the only reason we are rating this 4 stars instead of 5. The sweatshirt is a great addition to our arsenal of clothing for hemodialysis!

    I purchased 2 of these sweatshirts & 1 long sleeve T-shirt earlier this year in preparation for my dialysis. I just started treatment last week and the first 2 times did not use my new shirts. What a mistake! I have used the sweatshirts twice now and absolutely love them! I just now ordered 1 more sweatshirt and going to try the hoodie this time also. They kept me warm & cozy and worked very well for dialysis. My techs all commented what a great idea. And yes I am passing the word out to others in my center. Thank you so much.

    I purchased the left arm sweatshirts for my 85 year old Mother who is taking dialysis, and she loves them and was asking for more in different colors. She was the talk of the dialysis town the first day that she wore it, other patients were asking where she got them and Doctors were saying that they wish they had thought of doing that.

    My son is on dialysis and this is the third one I purchased. During the winter month’s when it is cold he said he feel’s much warmer when getting his treatments. His fistula is on his left upper arm. With this sweatshirt he can still wear long sleeves. Thanks so much.

    I did not know that dialysis clothes excisted until I went online looking for some.I bought 2 sweatshirts for my sister and she loves them. I later bought her the hoodie zip up sweatshirt and she loves it.She gave the dialysis center a informational card since the staff like them due to easy acess to the patients port.

    I bought a couple of these for my Father and he loves it! It give a easy access for the nurse to insert the needles. Also, for dialysis patients it gets cold during the process but he don’t have to freeze himself because the sweatshirt keeps him warm! I’m about to purchase more but this time long sleeve t-shirts for the summer!

    Works just fine. It’s the second one we’ve ordered and husband has had several dialysis “mates” inquire as to where to get one. We’ve forwarded the Web site and hope it brings you more customers. One thought though. .. sending by special delivery seems the only way to get this product if you are ordering by Internet and that adds significantly to the price…not a good deal if you have to wait a week for delivery any way.

    Prior to the purchase of Hemowear we tried all kinds of blouses that would give the dialysis techs easy access to Mom’s catheter/graft. Whatever she wore she was always cold and uncomfortable. These sweatshirts are great. She unzips the arm, presents the arm and she stays comfortable

    I ordered two of the left arm access sweatshirts in different colors for my husband. He is so uncomfortable from the lower temperature that they are required to keep the dialysis room and this has finally made it a little more bearable. Thank you for making these products available. I plan to order the lighter weight for the warmer weather. For those of you trying to find solutions to keep our loved ones “warm”, LL Bean also offers flannel lined jeans that have also become a blessing.

    After a few hiccups, I finally got my order. But, after receiving the shirts, I can honestly say it was worth the wait. My husband has been on home hemo dialysis for a few years and he is always very cold. Finally, he can do dialysis comfortably and stay warm his whole treatment!

    It’s early in the experience as I recently received my sweat
    shirts and have just started to use them. I find them comfortable,
    warming ( our dialysis treatment area is kept cold intentionally),
    and very easy to use. No more cutting off half a sleeve for me.

    My Dad is very picky with everything. I purchased one sweatshirt for him last year. He loved it. Everyone at dyalisis loves it and always ask him where he got it. He wanted another one this year. It’s a great gift. Easy it use and keeps him warm. The quality of the shirt is a plus too.

    The shirt is well made and the XL fit is just right for my 6′ 3″ frame. It took longer than expected for delivery and I thought the cost at $47 including shipping could have been lower. It’s working out fine for clinic dialysis.

    The left arm zipper works very well during my dialysis sessions – a vast improvement over sweatshirt with a sleeve cut off, However, there is an issue during hookup and disconnect – we have to push a gauze pad between the sleeve and my arm to catch the occasional blood drips. If the zipper sleeve cuff, had some optional way of opening – say a Velcro wrap, the problem would be solved.

    As most know, the temperature in most Dialysis Centers is set on the cool side. This shirt solves the problem of layering to be comfortable during a session. With the double action zipper, you can be warmer since you don’t have to expose your entire arm. Now all I need is a light blanket on my legs for warmth. Only down side is that it shrinks a small percent in the body length when washed and dried. However, if you stretch it immediately out of the dryer you can gain most of the length. I now have one hoodie, sweatshirt and two long sleeve T-Shirts. The zipper is hidden and does not spoil the style of the shirt. Much more convenient than products out there with snap closures. Great investment.

    The sweatshirt is WONDERFUL couldn’t ask for a better product.
    But the customer service and shipping is crap. However, after chatting with someone I can understand. They alter everything in Oregon, no less, So american made is great by me. Just wish they would state 10 to 15 days insted.

    My husband is on dialysis and was always very cold. He loves the shirt since he is covered on his right arm. My only complaint is the amount of time it took for us to receive it. He was told that if we order another one, we should order left and right zippers. The blood pressure on the right arm would be more comfortable for him. Otherwise its the most comfortable piece of clothing he has worn for his dialysis treaments.

    My wife bought me a couple of hemowear sweat shirts for L arm fiscular. On dialysis days it was hard to find shirts that I can open up for techs to easily get to my port. My wife searched and found hemowear and I am very happy she did. I no longer have to find the right shirts or button down shirts. I no longer have to remove my arm out of sleeve to be uncomfortable or cold for 4 hrs. These shirts are the greatest things and helps so much. She is ordering more.

    The con is that it had taking a long time for delivery, but we’ll worth the wait. Very comfortable.
