It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of Pete DeCaire. Pete was instrumental in the founding of Hemowear as well as its inspiration. The patriarch of the DeCaire family, Pete could always be counted on to lend a hand in building the business and his smiling face as a product model for Hemowear. Always acting as a spokesperson for our organization, our business’s success is in large part due to Pete’s constant support and advocacy.
Recognizing the discomfort felt during dialysis and chemotherapy, Hemowear clothing first came to fruition because of Pete’s desire for more comfort and dignity during his treatments. From his initial ideas for access ports for catheters and IVs, a company was born. We will forever be indebted to Pete DeCaire’s guidance and support in all of our endeavors and use him as an inspiration for future growth and success, both personally and professionally. Innovative design in dialysis clothing and a dedication to providing both dignity and comfort to our customers will remain our entire focus; as Pete would expect in his absence.
You were an inspiration in both business and in life Pete, and will be sorely missed by both your DeCaire and Hemowear families.
